defining visual identity

Since 2022, I’ve been working for Onze Live Vrouwekerk in Amsterdam. When I was first asked to design posters, I realized that some essential elements of the church’s visual identity were missing. To address this, I began by defining the visual identity. By analyzing the existing website, I established the colors and fonts. I also decided to expand the primary palette by adding lighter tints of the main colors to offer more subtle background options.

logo design

For the logo design, I drew inspiration from artwork previously used in the church’s printed materials and a sketch created by my friend Diana Esperanza Garcia Franco. I developed a set of primary and secondary logos.

posters

The newly defined visual identity served as the basis for designing various posters over the past two years. Printed in A1 size, they are displayed at the church entrance to inform visitors about parish courses and the mass timetable.

flyers

I have also designed various flyers for the OLVK church, with text in both English and Dutch.

Baptism Memento Cards

Another item I had the pleasure of designing for the OLVK church was an A4 printout, given to soon-to-be-baptized young adults as a memento. I created two double-sided designs featuring the Our Father and Credo prayers in English, Dutch, and Latin.
